Defense Minister Benny Gantz signed four seizure and restriction orders in relation to Hamas funds and property in Gaza and around the world, in a cumulative amount of millions of shekels. This, as part of the financial campaign against terror operatives, which is coordinated by the National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing (NBCTF) in the Ministry of Defense together with the GSS, IDF Military Intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other parties.
In the Gaza Strip - the minister signed a seizure order for $900,000 against the Alsama Albashiti and Partners Money Changers and Money Transfers, and its head, for its activities on behalf of Hamas.
In the international arena - the minister signed an order restricting the transfer of property and funds to Ramy Abdu and Khalid Turaani, who serve as members of the board of the IPALESTINE organization, which operates in Britain, belongs to Hamas and is designated as a terror organization in Israel. The minister signed a similar order against Mahmoud Hanafi, who serves as the CEO of the Palestinian Association for Human Rights, which operates in Lebanon, belongs to Hamas and is designated as a terror organization in Israel.
The seizure and restriction orders are published on the NBCTF website, translated into English and Arabic and distributed widely to the established financial system in Israel and around the world, a course of action that should lead to the imposition of additional restrictions on these organizations, institutions and individuals.
Defense Minister Gantz said: "We will continue to act against terror in any manner in which it acts and in every place. The defense establishment, through the National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing in the Ministry of Defense, will pursue terrorist organizations in Israel and around the world, and will work to sever the chain of distribution for terror funding."
